Please read and fully understand this Privacy Policy before using "Photo Recovery Master" (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). By using the App, you agree to our collection, use, sharing, and protection of your information as described in this Policy. This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the App's User Agreement.
We understand the importance of personal information and are committed to keeping it secure and reliable. We strictly comply with applicable laws and regulations (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)) to collect and use your information. Below we explain how we collect, use, store, and protect your data, as well as your rights.
When you use the App, we may collect information based on the principles of legality, legitimacy, and necessity:
Information You Provide Voluntarily: For example, when you submit feedback or contact support, we may collect your email address and the content of your inquiry. This information is used solely to provide the services you request.
Device Information: We may collect details such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., IMEI, Android ID, IDFA), IP address, screen resolution, network type, app version and settings. This ensures the App operates correctly on your device, adapts to different hardware, and improves performance and security.
App Usage Logs: To improve service quality, we automatically collect information about how you use the App, including feature usage, click actions, browsing history, search queries, crash logs, and error reports. This helps us understand product usage, troubleshoot problems, and enhance services.
Recovered File Metadata: When you perform operations such as deep scanning, file recovery, or previewing recovered items, we may record necessary metadata like file name, size, type, and modification date. We do not collect or view the actual content of your files. All recovered files and scanning data are stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to back up or share them via a cloud service.
Please note that providing certain information is necessary for specific features. If you choose not to provide such information, you may be unable to use some functions, but core features of the App will remain available.
We use collected information for the following purposes:
Provide and Maintain Core Features: To enable key file recovery functions such as deep scanning, multi-format file restoration (photos, videos, audio, documents), and secure export of recovered files.
Optimize Performance and Recovery Success Rate: To analyze device and log data, improve scanning algorithms, and enhance speed and reliability of file recovery.
Troubleshooting and Security: To identify and resolve crashes or errors, detect abnormal or malicious activity, and protect data integrity and user accounts.
Customer Support and Communication: To respond to your inquiries, resolve recovery-related issues, and provide technical assistance.
Product Analysis and Improvement: To aggregate anonymized device and usage data, evaluate feature performance, identify user needs, and plan new features.
Legal Compliance: To fulfill legal obligations or respond to lawful requests by courts or regulatory authorities, or to prevent fraud and protect the App's legal rights.
We will not use your personal information for purposes other than those described above without first obtaining your explicit consent.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App itself does not directly use cookies to track users.
However, certain third-party services (such as analytics or advertising SDKs) may use similar technologies such as mobile SDKs, pixel tags, or device identifiers to analyze app usage, measure ad performance, and improve service quality.
You can manage or disable advertising identifiers or tracking settings via your device's system preferences. Disabling such settings may affect ad personalization or analytics accuracy, but will not affect the App's core functions.
4. How We Share, Transfer, or Disclose Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share or disclose information in the following cases:
With Your Consent: For example, when you explicitly choose to upload recovered files to a cloud storage provider.

Legal or Rights Protection: To comply with applicable laws, respond to government or court requests, prevent fraud, or protect the App's rights and user safety.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or bankruptcy, user information may be transferred, provided the new entity continues to follow this Privacy Policy or obtains your consent.
Anonymized Data: We may share statistical or de-identified data that cannot identify you.
All third parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and must not further share the information without your consent.
